Everyone understands that the matchbox sized Capital Male' can not handle the growing population. Simply because the Island is too small and there is no possibility for its extensions even though Male' Governments do not want any other Island to be developed.
As a result, the most densely populated Capital in the world is suffering from congestion, pollution and traffic problems.
So as to deal with the Traffic Problem, the Male' Legislature has always tried to limit the import of vehicles to the Country in general.
True that Male' traffic problem need to be addressed.
We suggest to levy Import Duty on vehicles registered in the Male' Zone and not in any other zone because they have no traffic problem. Instead, they require more vehicles to speed up the economic development along with their infrastructure.
The Islanders need machinery, equipment and Vehicles of all sorts so as to meet the growing needs of the hour. Do not let them down.
